Yes I am missing the shoulder armour and my bodysuit is not epicly shiny ;) both health and travel issues.

Please note the incredible number of seams in said bodysuit ;) Each one cut and sewn, no topstitching cheats. Even the gold is sewn in as reverse facings which was in its own way a nightmare- the gold was two way the black four way so I had to account for that too.
The bodysuit is a rubber coated stretch fabric which does shine nicely with silicon oil but travel and lack of helpers meant I was not able to get this shined on time.

The collar is cast resin and he tentacles cast from slip latex.

The only item not made by me in any of this was the shoe base for the leggings. All you can see of the orginal though are the toes and sole. Everything is from raw materials works through sculpting, cutting, sewing, hammering, cussing, throwing across the room in a fit of pique and broken body ;)

hey there! Is the gold part a gold fabric that was sewn on? I like the 3D look it has and was wondering what material you used. Great job!

Hello :)

yes, the gold is a 2 way snake skin textured vinyl and it's not sewn on but sewn in with all the other pieces. I think there are 114 pieces in the bodysuit (ten pieces for each sleeve alone!)

I made a basic bodysuit then drew all the panels I needed and then made a new pattern from that.

The more seams though to less control over shape as sewing stretches the pieces out of shape each time. Ideally 8 bodyseams would be it :)

Thank you :) The fabric is a crazy end of line possibly custom sports fabric. it's a heavy duty stretch with a coating of rubber. It must be treated in some way as it resists anything sticking to it ;) Like trying to glue armour to it...

I have been looking for out fits as people as Samara since i have decided to try my hand as sewing something for a convention. This has to be the cooliest and most thought out one that i have seen so far. AMAZING. If you dont mind answering, what type of fabric did you use for her suit?

Thank you :) The fabric is one I haven't been able to find again but was sold off cheaply after a major sports clothing maker closed down.

It was a magical find ;) Every so often Nick's fabrics on Dominion Rd gets crazy fabric and they had just got a huge shipment of ex Line-7 fabrics. All sports wear and wet suit stuff. This was a really lucky find of rubber coated fabric.

Thank you :) Yep they were! Mainly due to the horizontal nature of some of them in key fitting areas. It made it very tricky to fit! And then the curves themselves made it a bit fiddly under the machine ;)

Thank you :) It was a heck of a lot of work. More than I realised- that's due to the incredibly complex nature of the tentacles. In pretty much any other medium not a problem but in latex. yep.
